Lespoirs values your privacy. This privacy statement explains which personal data we collect when you visit our website lespoirs.nl or use the Lespoirs AdBlocker Pro extension, why we need it, how long we keep it and what rights you have. We process personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Last updated: July 2026.
The data controller is Lespoirs, based in Maastricht, the Netherlands, registered with the Chamber of Commerce under number 64868184. Questions about your privacy? Contact us at support@lespoirs.nl.
Lespoirs AdBlocker Pro blocks ads and trackers locally in your own browser. The extension does not send us a list of the websites you visit, keeps no browsing history and sells no data to third parties. To recognise ads, the extension regularly fetches an updated filter list from our server, no data about the pages you visit is sent along with it.
Email address — to send your license key, confirm your purchase and reply to your support questions.
Payment details — to process your payment. Payment is handled by our payment providers (such as Mollie, iDEAL/Wero and PayPal). They process your payment details, we do not receive full bank or credit card details ourselves.
License key — to determine whether you have a valid subscription or trial.
Device ID and browser characteristics — when the free trial starts, the extension creates a unique device ID and computes a technical fingerprint based on general browser data (such as operating system, language and time zone). We use this solely to prevent the 14-day premium trial from being restarted repeatedly and to counter license abuse.
IP address — used to tie the trial to a device and for the security of our systems.
Data from the contact form or support email — your name, email address and the content of your message, so we can handle your question and create a ticket.
We process your data on the basis of performance of the agreement (for example delivering your license), on the basis of a legitimate interest (for example preventing abuse and securing our service), and where needed on the basis of your consent (for example for non-essential cookies).
We keep your data no longer than necessary. Data around your purchase and license is kept for as long as you are a customer and afterwards for the statutory retention periods (tax law requires us to keep payment data for seven years). Support messages are kept for as long as needed to handle your question properly. Data used only for the trial is kept no longer than needed to prevent abuse.
We never sell your data. We only share data with parties that help us deliver the service, such as our payment provider, email and hosting partner. Where needed we conclude data processing agreements with these parties. We only provide data to others when legally required to do so, for example at the request of police or judicial authorities.
On our website we use functional cookies that are needed for the site to work and — only with your consent — statistics cookies via Google Analytics to measure how the site is used (with IP anonymisation). On your first visit we ask for your choice via a cookie notice: if you choose Decline, Google Analytics is not loaded and no statistics data is stored. You can change your choice at any time via the Cookie preferences link at the bottom of the page or via your browser settings.
Note: the extension itself uses no tracking cookies. The extension's settings are stored locally in your browser.
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss and unauthorised access, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and limited access to data. Found a vulnerability anyway? Report it to us at support@lespoirs.nl.
You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data. You can also object to the processing, withdraw your consent and request transfer of your data. Send your request to support@lespoirs.nl. We respond within the statutory period. Do you disagree with how we handle your data? Then you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
We may update this privacy statement from time to time, for example when adding new features or when legislation changes. The most current version is always on this page.
