Uploading your website with FileZilla

With an SFTP program you put the files of your website on our server. We use FileZilla (free) as an example; WinSCP works too.

What do you need?

• FileZilla, available from filezilla-project.org
• The SFTP details from your control panel, under Website: server, port, username and password

How to upload your website

1. Open FileZilla.
2. At the top, enter sftp:// in Host, followed by the server from your control panel. Then enter your username, password and port.
3. Click Quickconnect.
4. On the right, open the folder public_html. Everything in it is your website.
5. Drag your files from the left (your computer) to the right into public_html.
6. Open your website in your browser and check that everything works.
